Collections
Do you have moments where you feel like you're in a void, especially after a spell of enormous productivity? I've felt like that tonight. Don't know if it was the end of this movie 25th Hour (with Ed Norton) that made me feel this way. Possibly. Has anyone else seen it? I'm not one to get thrown by movies in recent years, but I recall that on both occasions the ending of this film has really fucked with my head for a small period of time. It's also tinged with a little bit of negativity after having switched the channel to FOX News. Yes, my fingers relented and found sanctuary with the devil that is Rupert Murdoch. Holy Canoli... seriously... I watched all up about 5-10 minutes of this complete and utter pretentious self-celebratory shit. It's a feel good channel. It is there to make Americans feel good about being a part of their governments crusades... whether it's the journey of Michael Jackson, Terry Schiavo, The Pope or Iraq... they will take the road that feeds the ego of the patriotic and ignorant American consciousness. With that watermark U.S flag blowing in the corner of the screen with the word "Live" emblazoned on it, all you can really do is get a little pissed off. But hey, it's all fuel... :-)
It's been quiet on this blogging front I know. Time and energy has gone towards building the F Collective site as well as getting the music flowing. The F Collective is a group of us like-minded individuals coming together to form a movement to create the coffee of social consciousness. Our manifesto is up for all to read, it can be downloaded from the site as well. I'm still in the process of designing some of the pages, but their is some content to give you an overview of what we are on about. Please visit the site! On top of that, we have created an online forum for issues, news, discussions, events and other things that will help facilitate the movements growth in the future. So it is basically the building phase, the foundation is being laid out as we look for more of you out there who can spread the word and be a part of something that is exciting and positive. We are very excited, we feel this is vital :)
Posts like this will be about as rare as they are now... this will host my writing and poetry as well as time is spent working on getting out on the net and contributing to discussions and promoting the F Collective.
