Music sweet music...
... can really break the bank!
After the awesome Tea Party show I witnessed on Friday night, the urge to purchase a ticket to the THIRD MELBOURNE SHOW tonight at Mercury Lounge was too good to pass up. So I bought two, Roy is coming along too. Jeff (lead singer, Tea Party) says it's going to be "the best covers show of all time" but I hope it's half tongue-in-cheek and they play their kick arse originals (the band often inserts snippets of other songs by bands like Led Zeppelin, Tool, Rolling Stones, Hendrix).
My biggest buy of the weekend is a Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde Overdrive/Distortion pedal for my guitar set-up. It will be shipped from the U.S... looking forward to being locked in my room experimenting with it (this will be good in two ways: 1. some nice gutsy sounds, 2. I won't spend any money venturing out of my room [assuming I have any left once I pay the plastic magic off next month]).
