Time to Vote Out Howard!
This post will most likely have nothing to do with the title. However, I did receive a pamphlet from The Greens today backing it's candidate in the Menzies seat, Matthew Wright. I will most likely vote for this dude... it's a fair shout from the last election where I voted for Winston (please feel free to flame me, heck I'll even flame myself).
Last night Eon Automatic played at Square Pegs! The show shat all over the first time we played there in July, it felt like a well-oiled soul machine. Thanks for all of you who came along! Especially great to see those old friends that I haven't seen for 2-3 years :) We rocked last night, had a ball... there's another gig in a couple of weeks, same place same time, hope to see more of you there!

I'm currently reading a book called "Culture and Conduct" about cultural anthropology... so far I've read how cultural relativism and subjective understanding are requirements of this broad field. Also the importance of fieldwork is noted early on in this book... anthropologists all aim to have first hand knowledge of at least one other culture through living among a chosen people. The aim is to compare the differences/similarities with as much detachment as possible and to have this knowledge help in the understanding of other cultures. It's definitely interesting and will help organise the plans in my head for future study.
