Busy, busy day yesterday, worked for 12 hours... haven't done that for at least a year. And guess what? I don't plan on doing it for another 12 months!

So an update on the political wrangling in Australia regarding the FTA with the U.S. Latham has put conditions on his party's acceptance of the deal by saying the PBS must be tighter (to prevent cheap U.S drugs flooding our market) as well as the government putting tighter control on having local content in film and TV. That's it briefly. Of course, there are some like Tony Abbott who have come out in the papers saying the Labor Party (or Latham himself) is "Anti-American" and that they have "hang-ups". Does anyone fall for this shit? Seriously, if anyone reading my blog falls for this century's biggest buzzword ("Anti-American") I'll pull your nostril hairs out.

The Liberals are countering Latham's worries by saying all the regulations are in place to prevent cheap drugs in our market... "he's making concessions to the party's extreme left" they say... of course, politicians should be doing their best to make sure we get THE BEST DEAL FOR OUR COUNTRY shouldn't they?

In other news... Erica and I are playing an acoustic set this Saturday night at Mr Mundy's Bar & Restaurant in Vermont South (cnr Hawthorn & Springvale Rd) so please come along and we can catch up (I'll most likely be playing a couple of sets while Erica does solo stuff to break it up). By the way, Thursday September 2nd will be Eon Automatic's first paid gig... all proceeds from the door go to the band so we can pay for our demo (we have recorded the drum tracks already) and begin ruling the world. We will be drumming up support for this and asking you all to come along to rock the night with us :) We request that you bring your friends, family, pets, hermaphrodites etc etc...

Also... we now have an Eon Automatic Mailing List! Woohooo! I will send out emails to everyone so we can sign you up.. the mailing list will enable us to keep you informed of all Eon happenings: recordings, gigs, trivia nights and world tours.

I've got Bjork lyrics stuck in my head.... "Staaate ooff emergency...."...
