Ok, been away for a while from this thing. Lots of interesting stuff happening out there in the world...

Some great posts recently at Empire Notes especially the one regarding the Bill Clinton interview with Christiane Amanpour. Hindsight is great.

Also been keeping an eye on the happenings in political Venezuela at Venezuelanalysis.com. Interesting to see what happens between them and the U.S in regards to the oil issues, and in general, the undercurrents of a broader semi-revolution by other South American countries (namely Brazil and Argentina). President Chavez made a comment that I liked: "We want to see in our ships, in our pipes, in our medicines, and in other goods the words, ‘Made in Argentina’ or Made in Brazil’ instead of ‘Made in the U.S.A.’"
