Happy Sunday everyone :)

I'm sitting here at my uncle's place setting up the computer I bought for the family. Technology is full-on these days, the specs of this thing are amazing compared to the shitbox we have at home. Anyhow, this is my first time installing WinXP so I'm hoping it all goes well. At the moment I'm using Dalal's laptop to write this blog while the new beast of a machine is formatting the NTFS filesystem. Woohoo lol. It'd be nice to be in the sunshine outside though... might have to take my OJ with me and get some fresh air.

Last night was quite an action-packed night in a lot of respects. Make that the whole of yesterday. I woke up at 9am (how crazy.. on a Saturday!) and got ready for Dalsy to pick me up. We drove to the city where we paid for the new computer and packed it into her car. Then she dropped me off in Russell St. Yes. I went into RMIT on a Saturday. Considering it is against my humanity to set foot in that place on weekdays, being there on a weekend was nowhere near a joyful experience. I proceeded to check some of the 17 levels of that building for an open lab but with no luck. As I made my way to level 3 (where they have the big general faculty computer areas) I find that the Undergraduate lab is closed on weekends! Like RMIT needed to piss me off anymore.
The postgrad lab was to open at 12 midday so I hung around with Lauren (my Java assignment partner) from 11am until the opening. We spent 2-3 hours re-engineering the code from tutorials and trying to get this database hooked up to our web interface. In the end we only got so far and decided to call it a day. Busy week this week.

I caught the 305 bus home. I had a lil lunch snack and packed up all my musical gear for rehearsal... but before rehearsal I ended up at my other aunt's to farewell her. Today she's leaving for Lebanon, a nice 6-week stay there would be awesome at this time of year. She's one of my favourite aunts, very sweet and also funny. When I walked down the steps from her house she shouts out "I love you" and I was a little kid again lol. She's very sweet (and of course I shouted back those three words in return). Can you imagine even walking up to someone in the street, a complete stranger, and paying your respect as a fellow human by saying "I love ya, bro" or "I love ya, sista" hehe. Besides the certain weirdness that may come with doing something like that, imagine the good vibes you would produce. I even get happy thinking about it. So... I love you guys. All of yas. Peace out! hehe ;-)

Rehearsal was very good, I was a little hyped... rock and roll is a great thing. Despite what some people may think.

Chris wanted to hang out and so we came back to my joint with Erica. Cracked open a couple of Beams (but Erica is still on her probationary license so she can't drink... Lemon fizzy drink for her hehe). Sat outside in the chilled night, no lights just the moon reflecting the second-hand light of the sun on our mini-veranda (or is it a patio?). We talked and talked until 1am outside then went inside to the equal cold lol. Sorry guys, next time I will either put the heater on or give u some wine ;) Inside the conversation moved on to life, politics and "destiny". I quite enjoyed it and I think/hope we all got something out of it. Quite full on and at times we went around in circles, but I guess everyone's own definitions and perspective created that. I'm feeling on some sort of semi-high today as a result of the mind being on heat after a late night of ideas and talk. Good stuff :)

Ok, I'll write another post soon... must get back to this job at hand. See yas soon

Peace/Love/Broadbeans,
Dan.

So here I am, the new machine is buzzing along with formatting progress at 76%. Hurry up!
