We have a relative on his deathbed. I know it's not something that'll bring much joy to this blog but I find there's some interesting ways people act at a time like this. Cultural traits really show and it makes me question a lot of it. This is especially so when I think of what the immediate family (i.e. wife and son) are feeling and the space and time they would like with their husband and father. Today my mum, sis and brother went to the hospital to visit... I was surprised to see five of our male relatives sitting outside in the waiting room chatting while in the patient's room there were the women (including the wife) totalling about 7. These friends and relatives feel a need (scrap that.. more of an OBLIGATION) to go visit... this is a nice gesture but it doesn't leave much needed space for stressed out family. I know if I was them I'd want to be alone with the immediate family to spend his last days together as a family. Hmm... but that's just a cultural thing I don't necessarily agree with.
Enough thoughts for tonight though...

I just came back from Cee's birthday gathering, had dinner and then some drinks before I left (didn't feel like a crowded Pugg Mahone's... no chance to chat and relax).

Life's always interesting... take care out there y'all :)
